Requirements
- *4+ years experience as a soldering technician specializing in application-critical, high-complexity Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
- *Prior certification in industry-standard soldering practices
- *Demonstrated experience with electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling and safety procedures
- *Ability to perform quality checks and visual inspections of PCBs and PCBAs per industry standards
- *Ability to perform rework on development and flight PCBAs
- *Ability to support electromechanical assembly production
- *Compliance with health and safety regulations including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
Nice to Have
- -Associate degree or higher in electronics, avionics, or a related field
- -Current or previous certification in IPC J-STD-001

- -Expertise in fine-pitch soldering, rework, and repair of complex PCBA assemblies

About the Team:
The Avionics team is responsible for all aspects of the electrical design on the rocket, from electronics, interconnects, associated mechanical design, testing and initial production. This team's scope includes the flight computers, power systems, RF systems, PCBA design, autonomous flight safety systems, and telemetry. This team works on complex electrical systems that require modularity and flexibility and are critical to the successful launch of Terran R and beyond!
About the Role:
Assembly and manufacturing of PCBAs for development, test, and ground equipment use
Perform quality checks and visual inspections of PCBs and PCBAs per industry standards
Perform rework on development and flight PCBAs
Support electromechanical assembly production, integrating PCBAs into mechanical enclosures
About You:
4+ years experience as a soldering technician, specializing in application-critical, high-complexity Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
Prior certification in industry-standard soldering practices, demonstrating proficiency and adherence to stringent quality standards
Demonstrated Experience with electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling and safety procedures to ensure the integrity and reliability of sensitive electronic components
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, which may involve standing for extended periods or lifting up to 25 pounds
Nice to haves but not required:
An associate degree or higher in electronics, avionics, or a related field
Current or previous certification in IPC J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, or similar industry standards, reflecting advanced soldering skills and commitment to quality
Demonstrated expertise in fine-pitch soldering, rework, and repair of complex PCBA assemblies, with a keen understanding of advanced soldering techniques and best practices
Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure aerospace environment, consistently meeting rigorous performance and quality standards
