Director of Product Design

As the Director of Product Design, you aren't here to tweak a few buttons—you are here to overhaul the entire experience. You will lead the transformation of complex query languages and technical onboarding into a seamless, high-end SaaS experience. You will be the professional backbone for a strong design team, pushing them out of their comfort zones and into their best work. Minimum Qualifications (MQ) Leadership Experience: At least 4+ years of experience in a senior management role , leading a team of 4–5+ designers. Seniority Level: Proven track record as the senior-most design leader in a business unit or organization, responsible for setting the design strategy and standards. SaaS Expertise: Significant experience designing and shipping B2B SaaS products at scale. Product Overhaul Experience: Demonstrated experience taking a complex, technical product and successfully transforming its UI/UX to be more intuitive and user-friendly. Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to "stand your ground" and advocate for design-led thinking at the executive level. People Development: A proven history of mentoring designers and managing their career paths, not just their tasks. Preferred Qualifications (PQ) Cybersecurity Domain: Experience in the Cybersecurity industry or with high-complexity data/security products. Systems Thinking: Deep expertise in building and maintaining Design Systems that scale across complex platforms. PLG Experience: Experience with Product-Led Growth strategies, specifically in optimizing onboarding flows and reducing time-to-value for technical users. Startup Agility: Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where you need to balance "perfect design" with "fast execution." Why Axonius?
