Automotive Technician - Express

Your next opportunity awaits! Hyundai Santa Monica, a leading Automotive Dealership, is seeking a highly motivated Express Service Technician. If you’re passionate about starting a career as an Automotive Express/Lube Technician, we want to hear from you! No prior experience is required — but if you have retail experience at places like AutoZone, Jiffy Lube, Pep Boys, or independent shops, that’s a plus. Responsibilities The Express Service Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and minor repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to the overall success of our service department. Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations and filter replacements. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunction of vehicles and perform repairs. Accurately document record of all repairs, services and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. Collaborate with service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs. Perform maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards. Qualifications One year of Express/Lube Technician experience is preferred, but not required. Prior experience is preferred but not required — a great opportunity for Automotive students looking to launch and grow their careers as Technicians! Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Manufacturer certification is desired, and a degree or certificate from a trade school is preferred. Compensation: The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00. Please keep in mind that this range may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
